Though we tend to gravitate toward warm browns, grays, and neutrals in fall, a fun pair of colored skinny jeans with a colorful tee is a great way to brighten even the most overcast autumn day.
We found some super cute skinnies for both boys and girls to pair with our long sleeve big brother shirts and big sister shirts to create fantastic outfits for school or play.
FOR BOYS
At only $9.95 each, it’s easy to mix and match these Boys Corduroy Pants in Green and Teal from H&M with the baseball Color It Up Big Brother T shirt and short sleeve Merry Menagerie Big Brother T shirt.
Boys will make a bold statement in the Arizona Skinny Jeans in Regal Red from JCPenney and the Something to Say Big Brother T shirt in black & white baseball sleeve.
FOR GIRLS
The Around the World Big Sister Tshirt and Stitched Style Big Sister Tshirt in red & white baseball sleeve would make really cute and colorful outfits when paired with the Pop Color Skinny Jeans in Apple of My Eye and End of the Lime from Old Navy.
How adorable would twin girls or big & little sisters look in these Levi’s Kids Girl’s Candy Color Cuffed Skinny Jeans in Berry Sunset and Almond Blossom Pink at Zappos with the Over the Rainbow and Flower Power big sister shirts?

Décor Trend: Glasses
We all know moustaches have been a big trend in décor for both adults and babies, but we also adore eyeglasses on animals and sea creatures as a fun way to add a whimsical twist. And adding whimsy to a nursery is always a spot on trend.
We’ve found a range of nursery décor that feature eyeglasses, including personalized growth charts, cuddly plush pillows and dolls, clocks, etc.

Naming Trend of the Week: Colors
When Beyonce and Jay-Z named their daughter Blue Ivy, some people were left scratching their heads while others thought it was a lovely, unique name. Regardless, color inspired names continue to be a growing trend. Some color names, like Violet and Amber, have been around for a long time, while others, like Azure or Teal, are a bit more unusual.
We’ve pulled together some big sister tshirt and big brother t shirt designs to highlight some colorful names.
Whether you have a redhead or just love the bold hue, you may want to consider the boy names Brick, Rusty, or Red and girl names Rose, Scarlet, or Ruby in honor of the fiery color. (Shown: Double Trouble and Stamped Style big brother shirts; Something To Say and Rock On big sister shirts)
The Whale of Fun Big Brother T shirt would fit a Gray, Slate, or Sterling and the Colorful Big Sister Tshirt would work well for a Jade, Olive or Kelly.
Are color names hot or not?
Color Trend: Lemon
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade – or you use this bright, juicy hue to create a sunny space. And what better place to add touches of lemon yellow than your little sunshine’s room?
We love lemon (hey, it is part of our name!), so we wanted to shine a light on this cheery color and give you some ideas of how to incorporate it into a nursery.

If you love bright colors like lemon yellow, but are intimidated by them, using one strong accent piece like a personalized growth chart is an easy way to make that bold statement. (Shown: Perfect Pennant, Animal Crackers in Aqua & Lemon, and Design for Minikind personalized growth charts)
Do you like lemon yellow as a main color in a nursery or do you prefer it more as an accent color?
Cool Name of the Week: Emerson
Since this is our birthday week, we’ve thought a lot about how our company came to be, how much time and love we’ve put into it, and what inspired our name. If you know the story, you know that owner/founder Paula left her daughter Emerson with her husband one day, promising him she was a little angel. When Paula returned a few hours later, her exhausted hubby exclaimed, “You gave me a lemon, a little lemon.” So in honor of little Emerson, the original little “Petite Lemon”, we’ve chose her name as our Cool Name of the Week!
If you have an Emerson, boy or girl, we have some personalized baby gifts, big brother shirts, and big sister shirts ideal for showers, birthdays, the holidays, etc.
If your little one is celebrating their birthday the same week we are, here are some party-perfect 1st birthday shirts to choose from. (Shown: Playful Party Hat, Happy Birthday, My First Birthday 1st birthday shirts)
German for “son of Emery,” Emerson was primarily a boy’s name (#364), but has become more popular as a girl’s name (#244), possibly due in part to several celebrities, including actresses Teri Hatcher and Joanna Garcia Swisher and Grey’s Anatomy & Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes, naming their daughters that. (Shown: Love to Sketch Big Sister Tshirt & Big Brother T shirt; Modern Fun Big Sister Tshirt & Big Brother T shirt)
For girls, Emerson can be shortened to Emma, Emme, or Emmy. (Sunny Flower and Chic Style big sister shirts)
