Patterns, like polka dots, stripes, gingham, etc., add a sweet, perky touch to nurseries and are a great way to incorporate multiple colors or add depth to monochromatic nurseries.
We found several adorably patterned nurseries and chose some of our personalized growth charts that would coordinate nicely with them.
This vintage pink gingham nursery would get a slightly modern twist with the multi-patterned 1 to 10 personalized growth chart in either Cotton Candy Pink or Charcoal & Pink. (Image found on Pinterest)

Naming Trend of the Week: Nouns
Noun = a person, place, or thing. And now nouns are also a great resource for baby names. We’ve highlighted floral names and names inspired by places, but there are plenty of other categories of “noun” names that are unique and interesting, and some are even very popular if you don’t want something that’s really “out there.”
Dessert-inspired names like Candy, Charlotte, Madeleine, and Cookie are sweet girl names, while environmental-related names, like Rain, Skye, Stella (“star” in Italian) and Storm are ethereal. (shown: Sweet Treat Big Sister Tshirt, Cake Time 1st Birthday Tshirt, Over the Rainbow Big Sister Tshirt, and Happy To Be 1st Birthday Tshirt)
Bodies of water, like Ocean, River, Lake, Brooke, and Marina, as well as music inspired names, like Lyric, Carol, Chord, Viola, are great inspirations for both boys and girls. (shown: Whale of Fun Big Brother Tshirt or Big Sister Tshirt and Rock On Big Brother Tshirt or Big Sister Tshirt)
Did you choose a noun name for your wee one? Which big sister tshirt, big brother tshirt, or 1st birthday tee best represents their name?
Gifting Trend: Back-to-School
It’s been such a great summer; it’s so hard to imagine it’s almost time to head back to school. And that means it’s time to start thinking about getting kids excited about it. Some ways to do that include throwing a school-themed party (birthday or not), going shopping together for supplies, and giving school-themed gifts, like personalized growth charts, bookends, backpacks, and of course, clothes, like big sister shirts and big brother t shirt designs.
Personalized growth charts, crayon holders and bookends with yellow school busses are year-round reminders and great gifts. (shown: My Town Seek & Find personalized growth chart, School Bus Crayon Holder, School Bus Bookends)
Budding artists will love colorful art-inspired gifts from actual supplies to personalized growth charts to tees, like big sister shirts and big brother shirts. (shown: Color Me personalized growth chart, Crayola Ultimate Art Supplies, Kids Play Big Sister Tshirt, Love to Sketch Big Brother Tshirt)
Encourage a love for learning languages with global inspired gifts. (shown: Around the World Big Brother Tshirt and Big Sister Tshirt; Kotobuki 2-Tiered Panda Bento Box, World Flag Soccer Ball Backpack)

1st Birthday Theme: Hot Pink
This summer is hot, hot, hot! So taking some inspiration from the weather, why not think pink? Hot pink to be exact. It’s feminine, but bold, and makes a strong color scheme for a girl’s 1st birthday party. We’ve rounded up some great gifts, like 1st birthday onesies, tutus, leg warmers, and frames, as well as décor ideas in this bright, punchy hue.
Gifts:
Personalized birthday shirts, like 1st Birthday onesies, that highlight the #1 make great gifts, as well as outfits to wear to the party (shown: Colorful Number, Fun to Be One, Happy to Be, Happy Confetti 1st birthday onesies)

Cool Name of the Week: George
All hail the new prince, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge! We’re so excited about the birth of Will and Kate’s beautiful baby boy that we had to honor him by choosing George as our Cool Name of the Week. Of Greek origin, it means tiller of the soil or farmer and even with such a solid, down-to-earth meaning, George has been the name of many a ruler in history.
If we were to send the new parents a gift, it would be a basket of personalized baby onesies, like the I LOVE Mom, Heart 2 Heart Dad, Playful Name, and I LOVE (You Pick).
And next year for his birthday, we’d send a 1st birthday tshirt or two. (shown: Birthday Boy and Bulldozer 1st birthday shirts)
Maybe in two or three years another little prince or princess will be on the way and George will need a big brother tshirt! One with a design inspired by the meaning of his name would be perfect! (shown: Dig In Big Brother Tshirt and Busy Bulldozer Big Brother Tshirt)
In the meantime, our very best wishes to the royal mom, dad, and baby!
Baby Shower theme: Alphabet
Looking for a simple, yet sweet theme for a baby shower? It doesn’t get any more basic than the alphabet, which also offers a wide range of color themes and options – whether using the actual ABC’s or incorporating the initials of baby-to-be’s first or last name.
Here are some great examples of baby shower décor and gift ideas that incorporate letters of the alphabet.

Color Trend: Peridot
Do you have a baby due in August? If so, consider the Peridot, August’s birthstone, when designing your nursery. This citrusy green color would be ideal for boys, girls, and gender neutral rooms.
To help inspire you, we’ve rounded up some décor elements, like personalized growth charts, lighting, bedding, and accent pieces in shades of pretty Peridot.
Adding in touches of Peridot is easy with a multi-colored personalized growth chart. (shown: Zoo Friends, Butterfly Kisses, and Shooting Star personalized growth charts)

Décor Trend: Bunnies
Whether you use a classic Peter Rabbit theme, a modern look, or graphic details, adding bunnies into the mix gives a sweet touch to any nursery. We found some fun room designs that feature rabbits and paired our personalized growth charts with them.
