Last week we posted about our blog contest with Margie Romney-Aslett, and we asked you “what is your One Little Word for 2011” …
This year, we, the Petite Lemon family decided to participate in One Little Word 2011 — a soul searching, self-awareness activity that seems to have spread like wildfire throughout the blogosphere. One Little Word was started by Ali Edwards back in 2007 and it’s simple – select a word that you’d like to live by in the New Year.
Here’s a little peek into the one word we’ve each selected …
Our fearless leader and momepreneur, Paula, chose the word BALANCE.
“I love to do more, be more, give more … its all about balance. Life can be a joyful balance (or insanely crazy).”
Our very own Hillary is pregnant with her first baby, which will officially make this little girl our first Petite Lemon … she’s selected the word SAVOR to live by for the year.
“This word fits perfectly for the stage of life I am in right now. I need to…
SAVOR…the time I have right now
SAVOR…every moment with my newborn
SAVOR…my friendships.
SAVOR…my family.
SAVOR, SAVOR, SAVOR each moment.”
And lastly there is me, Jessica. I chose the word FAITH.
I secretly wished I could have chosen a phrase, which could have been anything from “calm down” to “just breath” … but that’s not how this one word assignment works. So instead I chose the word FAITH. “Have faith in yourself and in the future”, Ted Kennedy … just about sums it up.
So what’s your word?
