WHOO! Fall is officially here — the leaves are changing and dropping, as well as the tempatures. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year for fashion. I love layering. I love dark jewel tones, mixed with browns and taupes. I love textures, heavier weight fabrics that cooler temps allow you to wear. I love BOOTS! Suedes, patent leather — I could obviously go on and on. So let’s just jump right in.
Starting from top to bottom — here are some of my favorite Fall fashion trends for kids this season:
TOPS
Animals — a super fun trend right now for kids (and adults!) are animals on sweaters, tees, etc. These animal tops can all be found at Old Navy and a great way to show off your kiddo’s since of style …

And of course we have to include our Playful Owls big sister tshirt! We have several designs including animals in our personalized tshirts for kids collection.
Vests — try out a vest this season. They come in lots of different varieties, puffy, fleece, faux fur lined 😉 The nice thing about a vest is if it’s cooler in the morning, it’s a nice layer for your kid to wear to school, but then they can take it off as the day warms up. Plus, it freshens up a boring old tee or sweater.

BOTTOMS
Tights & Leggings — look for textures like wool, patterned cottons, ribbed stripes.
— Try out patterns: dots, stripes, florals or try something kind of crazy like these legging from H&M …

— Look for bright, bold colors like mustard, kelly green, royal blue or plum to add a fun and playful pop of color to any outfit. They make a basic dress, denim skirt or tunic top, look fresh and new again.

CORDS! — I love the texture of cords so much and they are available in so many styles and colors these days — wide wale, skinny, cargo pockets, etc. They are the perfect pant for Fall.

SHOES
Moccasins — Uggs have been a big seller for the past several years, but I feel like a fresher, yet just as comfortable shoe for kids is a pair of moccasins. Just check out how our little model above is rockin’ her’s with a pair of gray skinnies. DARLING! These are some of my favorites …

Booties by Rugged Bear on sale at Zulily
Boots for boys — the stand by, easy boys shoes is always anathletic shoe, but this winter try a more classic boot. You’ll probably find them to be just as comfy, durable and easy to put on as a sneaker …
