In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to honor and celebrate those who have been affected by the disease. We’re moms, sisters, daughters, dads, husbands and sons who care deeply about breast cancer because it has individually affected everyone of us here at Petite Lemon — and we wanted to join the fight.
Recently a few of us participated in the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure — what an amazing feeling to be in the presence of so many thousands of women and men united together in a sea of pink. Survivors, caregivers, supporters, family and friends — it was powerful and moving. We often get lost in the daily grind of life and its always great to take a step back and live life in the moment, even just for the day. David Arquette recently said something to the effect of (and yes, we’re quoting him :)), “life is about love and loving and not giving in to fear.” We thought that was just spot on. Crummy things happen in life, like breast cancer, but life is about loving and living and surviving.
In the spirit of love and to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month — Petite Lemon is thrilled to donate $1 for every new Facebook fan today until Monday, October 31st (up to $1,000) to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure on your behalf. So if you want to raise $150 for breast cancer research, then invite 150 of your friends to become our Facebook fan. Our collective donation will go directly to breast cancer research.
If you are looking to make your own donation, you can do so directly here.
And thank you so much to you all for being part of the Petite Lemon community. We are passionate about our work and feel blessed to truly love what we do and none of this would exist with out each of you.
Cheers to you all!
