From the moment my baby was born, I loved to read to him. At first his interest level was minimal at best, but as I kept reading I noticed that he started to be intrigued. From the words to the pictures, he began sitting on my lap longer and longer as I read. I was surprised that he soon had his favorite books (just like I do). He’d perk up when I started reading “left foot, left foot, right foot, right…” from Dr. Seuss, and started to giggle when I’d pick up The Little Blue Truck. He tried to help me turn the pages and he started bringing me books so he could climb up on my lap. As a mom, those moments were cherished. It was just me and my little getting lost in the pages of a book.
This quote means something special because it reminds me of all those times where he’d be on my lap as I read to him.
