When you brought home your baby, what did you want/need most? For us, it was diapers and meals! That first week is usually a blur of sleepless nights, feeding schedules and diaper changes, so certain gifts we received beforehand from friends and family were especially helpful. Here are a few things we couldn’t live without that first week:

Onesies – constantly changing diapers also brings many an outfit change, so a wealth of options (think personalized baby onesies) is as useful as they are adorable.

Mittens – babies nails are super sharp and they’re continually scratching themselves, so mittens are a real lifesaver for baby’s skin.

Baby Keepsakes – scrapbooks, photo albums, baby books, anything to help you remember to write down happenings, facts, etc are great because your memory is not at its peak right now and sometime down the road you will truly enjoy reading about that magical moment in time.

Baby Socks – the little one’s toesies get cold easily, so warm booties that stay put are important to have around.
