Love more than one beautiful name? No need to choose, go with both! What we love about the two-name moniker is that it can fall into the popular trend to name kids after their grandparents or it can be inspired by ethnic heritage, and it works for both boys and girls.
We’ve chosen some of our very favorite double names t and paired them with a mix of our big brother shirts, big sister shirts, personalized onesies, and 1st birthday shirts.
Personalized baby gifts for showers, birthdays, or even baptism gifts are an ideal way to show off double names. (Shown: My 1st Birthday and Roaring Race Car 1st birthday shirts; and a little sneak peek of our new personalized onesies line)
If you are from another country or want to pay homage to your ancestors, choosing two names from that ethnicity is a sweet tribute. (shown: Around the World Big Brother Tshirt and Big Sister Tshirt)
Floral names like Lily and Rose can be added to a range of names to make them doubly pretty. (shown: Blooms and Flower Power big sister shirts)

Color Trend: Orange & Blue Combo
There’s nothing like a bright orange sun against a beautiful blue sky to bring a smile to our face, so we thought a blue and orange color combo would be perfect for decorating a nursery or playroom. It’s the ideal space to have a bit of cheeriness year-round.
Here are some décor options, like personalized growth charts, bedding, mobiles, and wall art, in orange and various shades of blue in three themes – animals, whales, and transportation.
Aqua & Orange: Animal Crackers personalized growth chart in Orange & Charcoal, Quilt (Now and Then Quilts), and soft block baby toy (Clare’s Clothesline).
Navy & Orange: Under the Sea personalized growth chart, mobile (Hingmade), and wall art (ZeppiPrints).
Teal & Orange: On the Go personalized growth chart, print (nJoy Art), and light switch plate (Modern Switch).
What theme would you use for a blue and orange color combo?
Décor Trend: Harvest Time!
As summer comes to a close and fall sets in, a bounty of fruits and vegetables are ready for harvest. For a newborn coming into the world at this time, a harvest theme featuring brightly colored apples and pears or charming mushrooms is a fresh, unexpected choice for a wee one’s room.
We took a few of our personalized growth charts that feature a crop of these healthy icons and matched them with some fab room designs.

Cool Name of the Week: Schuyler/Skylar/Skyler
If you’ve seen “Identity Thief,” there’s a running joke about the male main character’s frustration with people referring to his name – Sandy – as a girl’s name throughout the movie. It’s a funny bit, because we all have our opinions about whether some technically gender-neutral names are more feminine or masculine. Which is why we really love a gender-neutral name that actually works equally well for both boys and girls, like our Cool Name of the Week: Schuyler. Of Danish origin, the name means scholar and was spelled Schuyler when the Dutch settlers brought the name to America in the 17th century, though now it’s most commonly spelled Skylar for girls and Skyler for boys.
For your Schuyler (or Skylar/Skyler), here are some big sister shirts and big brother shirts that are especially fitting for this cool name.
A popular nickname is Sky, so big sister shirts and big brother shirts inspired by the sky or skyline are perfect. (shown: Tweet Tweet Big Sister Tshirt, Skyline Big Sister Tshirt and Big Brother T shirt)
We’d pick big brother shirts and big sister shirts with the color sky blue too. (shown: Super Big Brother Tshirt and Big Sister Tshirt, and Chic Style Big Brother T shirt)
Wise owls are perfect for a scholarly Skylar/Skyler. (shown: Playful Owls Big Sister Tshirt and Big Brother T shirt)
Do you have a Schuyler, Skylar, or Skyler? How do you spell it?

Naming Trend of the Week: Girl Names That End in A
When the Social Security Administration released the top 100 baby names of 2012 earlier this year, not only did the top 5 girl names all end in “a” – Sophia, Emma, Isabella, Olivia and Ava – a third of the list fit into that category as well. Long or short, girl names that end with the letter “a” are both pretty and feminine, which is probably why this trend is on the rise.
We think an equally pretty and feminine big sister tshirt design is in order for any girl whose name ends in “a.” (shown: Blooms, Looks Like Me Princess, and Colorful big sister shirts)
We paired the top 5 designs of our big sister shirts with the most popular girl names ending in “a.” (shown: Love to Sketch Big Sister Tshirt, Playful Doodles Big Sister Tshirt, Playful Owls, Sunny Flower, and Over the Rainbow big sister shirts)
In Italy, Spain, Russia, and India, names that end in “a” also dominate the top 10 girl names and offer additional inspiration when choosing a name to represent your family’s heritage. (shown: Around the World Big Sister Tshirt)
What are your favorite girl’s names ending in “a” and which big sister shirts would you choose for them?
Color Trend: Shades of Blue
Though most people see blue and think boy, there are so many lovely shades of blue to choose from that can easily work for a girl’s nursery, as well as a gender neutral one. A blue nursery can accommodate a wide range of themes too, from nautical or underwater to geometric or abstract, kept simple with white or made bold with another bright color.
We’ve found some décor and accessories in various shades of this hue, including personalized growth charts, mobiles, wall decals, and lighting that are true blue beautiful.

Did you use blue in your nursery? How did you incorporate the color, through furniture, personalized growth charts, lighting or other accents?
Décor Trend: Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh My
Animals always make a wonderful choice for nurseries and whether you use them alone or with other animals, we love lions and tigers and bears (oh my!). They’re gorgeous animals who are also strong and protective of their young, just like us mommies and daddies.
Here are some inspiring room designs, as well as some suggestions of personalized growth charts that would accent them nicely.
Papa lion protectively watches over his playful cub in this jungle-themed nursery with yellows and greens, which would look great accented with the Animal Crackers personalized growth chart (Image found on The Bump)

Cool Name of the Week: August
(Coloful personalized onesie)
Do you have a baby boy due this month? Consider our Cool Name of the Week – August. From the Latin Augustus, it means revered and exalted and makes a strong choice for boys born in the eighth month of the year, which was named for Emperor Augustus. Perfect!
A few big brother shirts that fit the name and meaning of an August, include:
Superheroes and rock stars are revered and exalted for their special gifts, but just being named August makes any boy special in our humble opinion. (shown: Super Big Brother Tshirt and Rock On! Big Brother Tshirt)
August is also an adjective, meaning impressive and respected. A few things we find to be so impressive we designed big brother shirts with them in mind: whales, wise owls, talented artists and skilled builders. (shown: Whale of Fun Big Brother Tshirt, Playful Owls Big Brother Tshirt, Love to Sketch Big Brother Tshirt, and Dig In Big Brother Tshirt)
Do you have an August that would like any of these big brother shirts? Or instead of big brother shirts, do you have an Augusta that could use a big sister tshirt instead?
