Our fabulous Creative Director Hillary has two absolutely adorable little girls, and an equally gorgeous house. Of course we aren’t surprised! She’s got great taste and is responsible for designing many of our adorable personalized baby gifts. Baby June and big sister Lily have been our models for personalized onesies and big sister shirts, so we thought it’d only be fitting to give a quick peek into their rooms too, both of which have our personalized growth charts and alphabet posters.
Lily’s room is all about fun, mixing bright colors with lots of art, books, and personal décor pieces. And frankly, we’re a little jealous our rooms aren’t quite as awe inspiring!
June’s nursery is an eclectic blend of peppy brights and soothing pastels, giving it a feeling of pure joy and happiness!
We just adore both of these inspiring spaces and love seeing how perfectly the Doodle It Up and Gentle Giraffe personalized growth charts fit in with the uplifting designs.
And for more nursery and kids room inspiration, check out these beautiful spaces that our friend Kim create for her little ones.

Petite Lemon in Real Life: Sarah at Merely Mothers
We love seeing our personalized baby gifts being used “in real life,” which is exactly why we started our In Real Life series of blog posts.
Our latest is from Sarah of Merely Mothers, one of our fab Brand Enthusiasts you can read more about here. When Sarah moved from a rental into a new house, Sarah’s daughter got her own room. And Sarah got to decorate the nursery just the way she wanted! She chose to do the room in pink and gray with a touch of bright yellow, and we’re proud to say she also chose to include one of our personalized growth charts (the 1 To 10 to be exact).
She shared the room reveal on Merely Mothers and we must say, this was our favorite part:
“And, because she now had lots more wall space, I had to choose some artwork. I like to put things on the wall that mean something. Things like artwork done by friends, photos, and items that are meaningful to the room they decorate.
So I ordered this growth chart from Petite Lemon. I’m so thrilled with it because it’s truly one of those pieces that will grow with my daughter.”

Oh and don’t forget to enter to our contest before June 15 to win a $40 store credit Little Blue Olive, as well as a $50 Petite Lemon gift card good for any of our personalized baby gifts, including big sister shirts, big brother shirts, and even personalized growth charts. This travel themed nursery will surely inspire little boys to explore the world and the colorful room, like the Up Up Away personalized growth chart, is super uplifting. (Room here)

The Roaring Red Perfect Pennant personalized growth chart adds a perfect extra pop of red to this sophisticated vintage airplane themed nursery. (Room here)
Hung on a closet door, the Woodland Fun personalized growth chart would add a dose of whimsy to this nursery with a chic, modern woodland design. (Room here)
Pops of orange and green make a big impact in this adorable fox themed nursery and with so much going on, the Chartreuse Perfect Pennant personalized growth chart adds a simply perfect touch. (Room here)

5 Fave Girl Nursery Designs
We look at gorgeous nursery designs all the time and love to offer up as many ideas for inspiration for our readers as we can. We often use colors or design themes, but today we just wanted to share a few of our favorite newest designs we’ve seen recently. Actually these are five of our favorite girl nurseries, and over the next two weeks we’ll share five boys and five gender neutral rooms too. We looked to Project Nursery, one of our all-time favorite resources for design, to uncover these decorating dreams.
We love how different these five girl nurseries are from each other, yet they’re all equally beautiful in their own way. Of course we think our personalized growth charts would elevate each room’s design even more.
Bright pops of color and Native American accents give this nursery a very creative, unique look and the Color Me personalized growth chart complements the hues, as well as the overall artistic feel of the space. (Room here)
Ruffles and bows add an extra feminine touch to this black, white, and pink Old Hollywood glamour style nursery. Shooting Star in custom colors and Soft Pink Preppy Pennant are two options of personalized growth charts that would work well in this room. (Room here)
This ecletic nursery is both sweet and soothing, and the Balloon Party personalized growth chartwould perfectly tie together the shades of pink, yellow, and blue used throughout. (Room here)
Soft and dreamy, this coral and teal accented room would get a nice touch of whimsy with the addition of the Cheeky Dot personalized growth chart. (Room here)
This room is a burst of color with gold accents and a midcentury modern edge and we think the equally vibrant and uplifting Colorful Words personalized growth chart is an ideal fit for it. (Room here)
We hope you love these nurseries as much as we do. Would you choose the same personalized growth charts to pair with them or would you choose different ones?
June Holiday Fun
As if summer vacation isn’t reason enough to celebrate, the month of June is filled with all kinds of national holidays. Some holidays are sillier than others, but all are good reasons to have some fun!
Here are some ways to celebrate June holidays inspired by our personalized baby gifts, big brother shirts, and big sister shirts.
What better time than National Aquarium Month to visit the local aquarium to see the wonders of the ocean or buy the wee ones their very own aquarium. (Shown: Whale of Fun Big Sister Tshirt & Big Brother T shirt; Under the Sea personalized growth chart)
Celebrate National Candy Month and Dairy Month separately or combine them by eating a big scoop of ice cream with chunks of candy bar in it (mmm, thinking about Ben & Jerry’s Coffee Health Bar Crunch right about now!). (Shown: Sweet Treat Big Sister Tshirt; We All Scream and My Town personalized growth charts)
For National Rose Month, a flowery art project is timely, as is a trip to a local conservancy. (Shown: Sunny Flower, Blooms, and Flower Power big sister shirts)
June 6 is National Yo Yo Day, the perfect time for the Kids Play Big Brother T shirt and Big Sister Tshirt, and if your kiddos are total BFFS, they’ll love wearing their big brother shirts and big sister shirts on Best Friends Day, June 8. (Shown: Under Construction Big Brother T shirt; Double Trouble Big Brother T shirtand Big Sister Tshirt)
Flag Day follows on June 14, a great day to wear red, white & blue. (Shown: Only Child Expiring Big Brother T shirt and Big Sister Tshirt; Taped Up and Batter Up big brother shirts)
June 23rd is National Pink Day, so rock those pink big sister shirts! (Shown: Something to Say, Super Sister, Chic Stylebig sister shirts)
And of course, the most popular holiday in June is Father’s Day. Don’t forget June 3rd is the last day to order dad themed onesies and tees. (Shown: I Love Dad, My Dad Rules & Best Dad Ever personalized onesies and tees)
We hope these June holidays, pictured with our personalized baby gifts, big brother shirts and big sister shirts, offer ideas for fun summer days with the kiddos.
Get Inspired!: Safari Themed Décor
Last week we posted about safari themed personalized baby gifts (here) and promised a décor post to help inspire you to get the look. Well, here it is! We’ve rounded up some super cute safari animal inspired nurseries and chose some of our personalized growth charts that would make the rooms even more adorable.
Animal print décor, as well as a mix of stuffed animals and wall decals, pull together the safari theme in this sophisticated warm brown and pale chartreuse green nursery. The Animal Crackers personalized growth chart would accent this room perfectly! (Janey Mac)
We love how chic, yet whimsical this blue and green safari nursery is, and would choose the Zoo Friends personalized growth chart to soften up the look in the room’s very geometric design. (Project Nursery)
This nursery’s design is a less literal version of a safari theme, but it has a colorful, fun vibe with jungle animal accents that will easily take it from baby room to kid’s room. The equally creative Doodle It Up personalized growth chart would only add to the quirky cool room. (La Dolce Vita)
The Growing Giraffes personalized growth chart makes a great complement to this nursery decorated with pops of bright colors and wild animal themed wall art and knick knacks. (On to
Baby)
The safari theme offers a wide range of style options, which of these nurseries and personalized growth charts fits your style?
Decorating Shared Rooms
Earlier this year we wrote a post on decorating shared rooms called The More The Merrier, because we know how we shared rooms with our siblings and/or have kids that do the same. That’s also why we just LOVED Ever Clever Mom’s recent post 5 Tips for Decorating Shared Playrooms. Carly at Ever Clever Mom is one super clever mama (and a brand enthusiast of our personalized baby gifts!), so we wanted to make sure you saw this post too.
Her first two tips involve wall art:
Add some new pieces of art that belong to both of them. We agree and love that Carly used our Growing Giraffe personalized growth chart to make that happen.
When you add pieces that are personalized for each child, try to make them match. Again, another great tip to create individualism without sacrificing style.
Be sure to read her post here to learn three more great tips for decorating shared playrooms.
And if you’re planning to decorate shared rooms with personalized growth charts and other fun décor, it’s not too late to enter to win a $25 gift card for The Banner Shoppe and a $50 Petite Lemon gift card good for any of our personalized baby gifts. Go to our Instagram account at @petite_lemon before end of day May 23rd to enter!
Get Inspired!: Cool Cars
We’re nearing summer, the season of the road trip! Whether cruising along the shore, around town, or across this great country, this is a nation of car enthusiasts – and none more so than the kiddos. They love the wheels, the colors, and all the different shapes and sizes (and who hasn’t bundled baby in the car to get them to sleep at one time or another?!). So when you’re imagining your nursery or kid’s room, consider the car.
Want some inspiration? Here are creative car themed rooms we’ve paired with our personalized growth charts.
The Finish Linepersonalized growth chart is a great complement to any nursery full of cars and color, like this adorable one. (Cool Cribs)
Bright colors, big city! That’s what this fun nursery is all about, just like the My City personalized growth chart. (Roomzaar)
With orange cars and lots of other vehicles that go vroom in this dark and light blue nursery, the On the Go personalized growth chart would fit right in. (The Children’s Nook)
Girls love cars too, which is why we love this sweet, yet whimsical nursery with a pink convertible and would use the My Town personalized growth chart in it. (Dedecoracion)
Are you ready to hit the road and go with a car theme for your nursery? If so, we hope these nurseries with matching personalized growth charts inspired you!
Big Sister Shirts Meet Met Gala Fashion
While we do design personalized onesies, big sister shirts, big brother shirts, and 1birthday shirts, we don’t exactly consider ourselves fashion designers. But that doesn’t mean we don’t swoon over the latest styles and get inspired by the use of color, cut, etc. Which is why earlier this year we wrote two blog posts on trends from Fashion Week and chose big sister shirts (here) and big brother shirts (see here) whose designs were similar to those seasonal styles. We had so much fun with it and got such great response from our readers that we decided to do a similar post inspired by the Met Gala, another major highlight in the world of fashion.
The Amazing Spiderman’s Emma Stone looked super cute and comfy in her pink on pink 2-piece ensemble. (Super Big Sister Tshirt)
Emmy Rossum in an ultra-pretty yellow floral dress is pure sunny style. (Sunny Flower Big Sister Tshirt)
Love it or hate it, there’s no question Janelle Monáe puts her own personal stamp on style. (Stamped Style Big Sister Tshirt)
What’s a gala without a seriously over-the-top dress with real flower power?! (Flower Power Big Sister Tshirt)

Get Inspired: Bicycles
May is National Bike Month and with the weather finally cooperating, it’s a great time to get outside and enjoy a spin or two around the block. Bicycles also make a fun, somewhat nostalgic element to incorporate into a nursery’s design or to center the whole room around.
Here are some fabulous spaces that feature bicycles along with personalized growth chartsthat complement them.
Bicycles accents on the wall, lamp shade, and bedding add a bit of whimsy to this gray and aqua room festooned with pennants. We think the equally whimsical Woodland Fun personalized growth chart with aqua pennants and bike riding frog pairs perfectly. (On to Baby)
With the bicycle and various other forms of transportation set amid a bustling big city, the My City personalized growth chart would fit in nicely with this travel inspired nursery that features maps, globes, and an old fashioned bicycle carrying a sweet message above the crib. (Honeysuckle blog)
The super creative bike tire wardrobe and pops of aqua give this nursery a sweetly quirky vibe that we love and think the Vintage Circus personalized growth chartwould be a great fit for. (Rue Vintage 74)
Have any of these nursery and personalized growth chart pairings inspired you to use bicycles in a nursery’s décor?
