We work with some fantastic Brand Enthusiasts and are so lucky to read on their blogs how their little ones enjoy wearing our personalized onesies, big brother shirts, big sister shirts, or 1st birthday shirts or have our personalized growth charts in their rooms. Kristina from One Happy Mama (read more about her here) is one of those fab enthusiasts who recently shared on her blog what a joy it has been to have two boys close in age, in addition to an older daughter who lovingly mothers both boys.
We especially love this part of her post:
I’m so glad that they are going to have one another to get rough and tumble with (so they can wear one another out), play Ninja Turtles, take karate classes together and team up to drive their sister crazy. Ok, Caylin’s not too thrilled about that last one, but she knows it’s inevitable. Ha! 😉

Big Sister Shirts & Big Brother Shirts Go on Vacation
Where are you and the family off to this summer? Wherever you’re going, don’t forget to bring the kids big sister shirtsand big brother shirts, as summer trips and activities offer a perfect opportunity for the wee ones to wear their sibling tees with pride.
Want some inspiration? Here are three perfect ideas:
Family reunion – what better place to show off a big sister tshirt or big brother t shirt than a family reunion!? Of course it won’t stop Aunt Bertha from giving them unexpected cheek pinches or yucky kisses, but it will let everyone else know who they’re related to. (Shown: Stitched Style Big Brother T shirt & Big Sister Tshirt)
Sibling’s Birthday party – while wee ones are wearing their 1st birthday shirts, older kids can let everyone know they’re proud to be the guest of honor’s older sib by wearing a big sister tshirt or big brother t shirt. (Shown: Taped Up Big Brother T shirt and Big Sister Tshirt)
Family Photo Shoot – on the beach, in the woods, or even in your own backyard, gather the family together while everyone is relaxed and happy for a fun photo shoot. Petite Lemon in Real Life: Sarah at Merely Mothers
We love seeing our personalized baby gifts being used “in real life,” which is exactly why we started our In Real Life series of blog posts.
Our latest is from Sarah of Merely Mothers, one of our fab Brand Enthusiasts you can read more about here. When Sarah moved from a rental into a new house, Sarah’s daughter got her own room. And Sarah got to decorate the nursery just the way she wanted! She chose to do the room in pink and gray with a touch of bright yellow, and we’re proud to say she also chose to include one of our personalized growth charts (the 1 To 10 to be exact).
She shared the room reveal on Merely Mothers and we must say, this was our favorite part:
“And, because she now had lots more wall space, I had to choose some artwork. I like to put things on the wall that mean something. Things like artwork done by friends, photos, and items that are meaningful to the room they decorate.
So I ordered this growth chart from Petite Lemon. I’m so thrilled with it because it’s truly one of those pieces that will grow with my daughter.”

Oh and don’t forget to enter to our contest before June 15 to win a $40 store credit Little Blue Olive, as well as a $50 Petite Lemon gift card good for any of our personalized baby gifts, including big sister shirts, big brother shirts, and even personalized growth charts. Details here or on our Instagram at @petite_lemon.
Parents Magazine’s Name Trends of 2014 – Part 1
As creators of personalized baby gifts, we’re pretty fascinated with names. We’ve seen all kinds of different names and spellings, and not much really surprises us any more (ok, North West was a bit unexpected!). We can gauge some trends based on orders of our personalized baby gifts, but we still look forward to hearing from our always reliable parenting sources about what the newest trends are.
Parents Magazine recently offered a list of the nine biggest baby name trends for 2014 and we used our collection of personalized baby gifts to give you a little visual inspiration too, because sometimes seeing a name in writing can solidify a decision, especially one as important as your baby’s name.
Here are the first four trends using big brother shirts and big sister shirts.

Personalized Baby Gifts: Designer Picks
If you’re on the hunt for some personalized baby gifts, we’re always happy to help! And today we’re offering some ideas for personalized onesies which were created by our awesome Creative Director Hillary, with a dose of design inspiration and mommyhood reality thrown in.
In general, where do you find design inspiration?
I find design inspiration everywhere….cereal boxes, magazines, Children’s books, hiking in the mountains, television commercials, blogs, Pinterest, Target, clothing…. I love looking at the world around me. I have 2 little girls and they have taught me to look at things at a different angle…which is fun and gives me a new perspective as well.
You designed the Charming Hello, Modern Name, and Playful Hello personalized onesies. What was your inspiration for each design or what do you like most about it?
Charming Hello: This chalk trend is everywhere. I love putting my own twist on a fun trend.
Modern name: This design was a lot of fun to create. I love that it reads vertically and has a lot of impact.
Playful Hello: I LOVE the hand lettering here. This design is so simple, but has so much personality.
What’s a typical day like, how do you juggle designing, finding inspiration, and being a parent?
There is no typical day. Every day is an adventure….balancing/juggling work/life I am still trying to master this. I have a 3 year old girl, 9 month old girl, Chihuahua and a husband with an online shop. We have a nanny come in during the week so we can get our work done and our kids don’t just watch TV and eat cheerios all day long.
What ideas/designs/fonts are you working on developing now?
We are just finishing up our Christmas Card collection for Shutterfly. It’s always interesting to be working on Christmas cards not during the holiday season.
Thanks Hill! We know you’re a busy working mama, so we’ll let you get back to designing more adorable personalized baby gifts now.
June Holiday Fun
As if summer vacation isn’t reason enough to celebrate, the month of June is filled with all kinds of national holidays. Some holidays are sillier than others, but all are good reasons to have some fun!
Here are some ways to celebrate June holidays inspired by our personalized baby gifts, big brother shirts, and big sister shirts.
What better time than National Aquarium Month to visit the local aquarium to see the wonders of the ocean or buy the wee ones their very own aquarium. (Shown: Whale of Fun Big Sister Tshirt & Big Brother T shirt; Under the Sea personalized growth chart)
Celebrate National Candy Month and Dairy Month separately or combine them by eating a big scoop of ice cream with chunks of candy bar in it (mmm, thinking about Ben & Jerry’s Coffee Health Bar Crunch right about now!). (Shown: Sweet Treat Big Sister Tshirt; We All Scream and My Town personalized growth charts)
For National Rose Month, a flowery art project is timely, as is a trip to a local conservancy. (Shown: Sunny Flower, Blooms, and Flower Power big sister shirts)
June 6 is National Yo Yo Day, the perfect time for the Kids Play Big Brother T shirt and Big Sister Tshirt, and if your kiddos are total BFFS, they’ll love wearing their big brother shirts and big sister shirts on Best Friends Day, June 8. (Shown: Under Construction Big Brother T shirt; Double Trouble Big Brother T shirtand Big Sister Tshirt)
Flag Day follows on June 14, a great day to wear red, white & blue. (Shown: Only Child Expiring Big Brother T shirt and Big Sister Tshirt; Taped Up and Batter Up big brother shirts)
June 23rd is National Pink Day, so rock those pink big sister shirts! (Shown: Something to Say, Super Sister, Chic Stylebig sister shirts)
And of course, the most popular holiday in June is Father’s Day. Don’t forget June 3rd is the last day to order dad themed onesies and tees. (Shown: I Love Dad, My Dad Rules & Best Dad Ever personalized onesies and tees)
We hope these June holidays, pictured with our personalized baby gifts, big brother shirts and big sister shirts, offer ideas for fun summer days with the kiddos.
Big Sister Shirts & Big Brother Shirts Inspire Summer Vacations
Who’s ready for summer vacation? We sure are! And we’re dreaming about traveling to some exotic locales and far away dreamy destinations. More than likely we’ll stick close to home, but there’s nothing wrong with a little summer fantasy, right?
We looked to our big sister shirts and big brother shirts to help us decide which foreign country we’d love to take the kids to this summer – either in real life or through books, movies, or pretend play time – and introduce them to a world of interesting sights, foods, people, cultures, and more.
(Around the World Big Brother T shirt and Big Sister Tshirt)
We’d love to go on an African safari to study the animals in their natural habitat. (Shown: Merry Menageri Big Brother T shirt and Big Sister Tshirt)
With a mix of skyscrapers and castles, cities like London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow make the United Kingdom a big draw for kids who love history, princesses and knights, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, etc. (Shown: Charming Castle and Looks Like Me Princess big sister shirts; Skyline Big Brother T shirt)
Wandering through the green hills of Ireland in search of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow would be a pretty magical adventure to take with the kids. (Shown: Tweet Tweet and Over the Rainbow big sister shirts; Chic Style and Something to Say big brother shirts)
For some amazing beaches, tropical rainforests, whale watching, and maybe a shrimp or two on the barbie, we’d love to take the wee ones Down Under to Australia and New Zealand. (Shown: Whale of Fun Big Brother T shirt and Big Sister Tshirt; Blooms Big Sister Tshirt)
Where are you going this summer? Did any of our trips inspired by big brother shirtsand big sister shirts tickle your travel fancy?
