In celebration of birthdays (which we LOVE!), we thought we’d create a fun new freebie for your to download and make. It’s the perfect craft for you to do along with your little ones and help them see how many days are in their birthday month.
For our Birthday Countdown Door Chain you’ll need:
- to print off our free PDF, available in Primary or Candy colors
- scissors and adult supervision if your little one will be cutting on their own
- double sided tape or glue dots
- a long piece of ribbon
- a location to display … maybe on your child’s bedroom door?
Next, you need to:
- print our the door chain, we printed our on cover stock paper
- cut out the balloons and cupcake topper
- depending on how many days into the month your child’s birthday is, you may need to cut a longer piece of ribbon, or even two pieces to hang up
- using glue dots or double sided tape, attach your ribbon to the back of the cupcake and then hang up the cupcake and ribbon
- you have 2 options with the ballons: you can either add a balloon each day until your child’s birthday OR you can put up all of the balloon for their birthday (say their birthday is on the 18th, put up 18 balloons) and then take one down each day until their birthday
- fill out the cupcake topper with their name and age
